Performance NotesOn 19 November 1985 the Nevado del Ruiz volcano erupted in Columbia killing 25,000 people and making 50,000 homeless. This fundraising event was organised by Columbian composer and bass player Churcho Merchan.


The event was recorded by Eel Pie directed by Keefe McMillan and broadcast on Channel 4 television programme, 'The Laste Shift' on 20 July 1988 at 11.15pm. An 87 minute long version of the concert was released on VHS video as 'The Columbian Volcano Concert.
