Performance NotesStanley Poulton demonstration:
"He gave Morton as the name of a spirit communicator. Two people claimed it. 'I'm getting the name Harry,' Stanley continued. This clarified the situation. Mrs Anne Morton Taylor... recognised the communicator as her father, Harry Morton. She didn't say so but the medium immediately confirmed this. Then Stanley went on to speak of a head condition which lead to his passing. It was a cerebral harmorrhage, he told the daughter. This was correct. 'He's asking me to tell you the two Mums are here.' - 'Yes I understand that.' 'Do you mind explaining it to me?' - 'It is my mother and stepmother.' 'There's a Maud here, on the Other Side.' This, she said was her stepmother. 'There was a greater link with her, I'm told.' 'Yes.' Her own mother passed on when she was eight.
Stanley spoke of a young man communciating for the first time. 'He's giving the name Ray and he's connected with the Navy. Who's Clifford?' That, she said, was his surname. This was her husband's friend killed during the war in a submarine. 'Do you know the name Eburn?' 'Yes.' 'It's something to do with the bombing. They passed during the war. I'm told there's a whole daffy of then over here! They all passed over except one.' 'Yes, 11 passed and one was left.' (This was Mrs Taylor's brother-in-law's family, killed by a landmine at Victoria during the war. Their name was Eburne).
Stanley then conveyed love from the Other Side to two people on earth: Fay and Fiona. These are the recipient's daughters. Her 'dead' father spoke about a crisis in her life in 1962 connected with his passing. It was, in fact the year he passed on. ...
Two messages later, a programme was waved from Mrs Taylor's box way back in the Albert Hall. The man responsible was Philip Barnet... He had heard Stanley speak of a man's recent suicide as a result of suffocation, and was giving the name Clark. The medium asked for a link with the name, not the place, of Barnet. Before the surname was given, Barnet realised the message was for him. The communicator was a business client who committed suicide within the past two months. Stanley conveyed a message from the 'dead' man that he had made a special effort to return to give Barnet peace of mind. Barnet confirmed that the suicide ... 'He keeps showing me a plastic bag,' said the medium. Barnet excitedly confirmed the accuracy of this, but declined to reveal its significance publicly. ... 'He tells me he has been helped considerably, and Sarah is with him. ... Sarah is Barnet's mother. 'She sends her love. It seems to me that her mind is blanking out on a Sunday in the early morning. Was that when she passed?' - 'Yes.' 'She aslo sends love to a John and wants you to tell him she was with him last Sunday.' 'Yes, that is my brother. It was his birthday last Sunday.' 'Last month there was another birthday.' - 'Yes, mine.' Stanley gave the name Annie (this was Barnet's friend who was with him) and described his mother's passing, through a heart attack. The 'dead' mother told her son that he had moved on since she passed on... 'Did she have a sense of humour? She's singing 'Any old iron, any old iron...'' Barnet roared with laughter and said he understood but volunteered no more. 'It's something to do with scrap metal.' Barnet is a nonferrous metal merchant."

Nora Blackwood's demonstration:
"Nora began by asking for someone who recognised the name of Chillingham or Gillingham. There was no response. Undeterred, as ever, Nora gave the necessary psychic clue to clinch the recipient's identity. 'I want a Maurice,' she said. Chilman then accepted the message, which came from his father. 'He's telling me to say Chilly and you'll understand.' 'Yes, that's right.' 'I'm seeing bottles of wine.' 'Yes.' 'but I don't feel you're a merchant. Oh I see, you make it!' 'Yes.' 'Your father's telling me his son works differently all together. He says you work with water not wine... it must be the Water Board! - 'Yes that's correct.' 'He says you'll soon be having a birthday next month. Is it the 16th' - 'No.' 'It's the 18th!' 'Yes.' ... Nora correctly spoke of a recent move, and she 'saw' Chilman digging up crazy paving stone. She also spoke of a Rosemary Road or Street, which Chilman somewhat reluctantly admitted was connected with his job. ...
The most moving message came when Nora gave the name Pirie, and asked for a Joan. From up in the 'gods' a woman acknowledged the message which was coming form her husband Frank. 'Frank is very interested in a young man on eather. Who's Paul?' - 'That's his son.' 'But you've married again!' 'Yes.' 'Isn't there some concern about your present husband's health? Isn't there grave mental trouble there?' 'Yes, he's in a mental hospital.' 'Forgive me for being blunt, but would you be surprised if he were to pass?' 'No, I wouldn't be surprised.' 'I feel God will be merciful. Frank tells me he's trying to control Paul's mind. And can you understand why he is interested in another Frank?' - 'That's my second husband's name too.' 'But wasn't the Frank on the Other Side married twice too?' You've guessed what the reply was...yes!"
