Performance NotesFor this event, the stage was built into the structure of a dugout, above which a huge Union Jack hung in front of the organ from the ceiling. The ceiling was screened in blue. The main gangway, leading to the platform became a trench lined with sandbags. Box fronts were draped in crimson, white and purple. This was all designed by Oliver Bernard.

This was the tenth anniversary of the ending of the Great War.

The event was broadcast by BBC Radio at 21:50 to the Empire.
