Performance Notes"Several thousand women gave Mr Churchill a three-minute ovation at the Royal Albert Hall, London, yesterday, when he addressed the annual conference of the Conservative Women's Central Advisory Committee. He was accomapnied by Mr Eden and Sir David Maxwell Fyfe.
The most obvious , dominating outstanding fact which was established by the expression of British public opinion at the General Election, he said, was that the British people did not want Socialism." (The Times, 7 June 1950)
