Performance Notes | Russian physicist Professor Leo Theremin introduced his new Theremin apparatus which required no physical contact with the instrument to create eerie electronic sounds. "A LONDON CONCERT. Professor Leo Theremin, who is to demonstrate in London the instrument which he plays simply by moving his hands in the air, arrived at Victoria last night from Paris, accompanied by his assistant, M. Goldberg. He was met by Mr Edwin Evans, who is to give and explanatory lecture and accompany Professor Theremin at the demonstration before well-known scientists and others to-day and at a public concert at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday evening."
