Performance Notes'Great interest centred in the speech made by Lady Astor. She began by saying that if she had known what a very cosy meeting it was to be she would not have come prepared to say that no one would choose the Albert Hall for an oration or a personal appeal. After that night she was not at all certain that she would not chose the Albert Hall.
It was not really housing bonds they were asking for but homing bonds. They hoped the new houses would in every sense of the word become new homes. Whilst they could not guarantee the spirit which will make the real home, they could make it possible by offering every inducement in the way of good houses."
(The Western Evening Herald, Playmouth, 5 July 1920)

The four minute film set forth the advantages of the six per cent housng bonds and ended with a message from actors Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks.
