Performance Notes"Zionists' Celebration -
Mr Balfour will speak next Monday at the Royal Albert Hall at the demonstration organised by the English Zionist Federation in celebration of the acceptance by Great Britain of the mandate for Palestine as the Jewish National Home...A resolution expressing gratitude to the Allied States will be submitted to the gathering, which will include representatives of over 300 Ango-Jewish public bodes, and which will be attended by the delegates from many countries who are at present in London for the International Zionist Conference."

"To celebrate the acceptance by Great Britain of the mandate for Palestine as the Jewish national home a demonstration was held in the Albert Hall last night under the auspices of the English Zionist Federation. Lord Rothschild presided.
Mr Balfour said that for long he had been a convinced Zionist, but in his most sanguine moments he never foresaw, or even conceived, the possibility that the great work of Palestinian reconstruction would happen so soon. This was one of the great and unexpected results of the world struggle. That struggle had been the parent of infinite evils, but if among the results we could count the re-establishment in their ancient home of the Jewish people, at all events we could put to its credit one great result which under other circumstances could never have occurred at so early a date. There were difficulties ahead, among them the inevitable difficulty of dealing with the Arab question, which presented itself within the limits of Palestine. It would require tact, judgement, and above all sympathetic good will on the part both of Jew and Arab."
