Performance Notes | ""MESSIAH" AT THE ALBERT HALL Handel's Messiah was performed by the Royal Choral Society at the Albert Hall yesterday. There was a large audence, which included Mr Balfour and many wounded officers and men were present. Sir Frederick Bridge conducted, and the chief singers were Miss Carrie Tubb, Mrs Phyllis Lett, Lieutenant John Coates, and Mr Robert Radford. Mr H L Balfour played the organ, and Mr J Solomon gave the trumpet obbligato in "The Trumpet shall Sound." As usual the work was performed with Handel's accompaniments only."
