"FREEDOM PAGEANT.
From Commando troops to bus conductorettes, every type of war service was depicted in the Battle for Freedom Pageant at the Albert Hall last night. Nine British and two Canadian V.C.S and men from Malta were guests of honour.
The Prime Minister [Winston Churchill] attended, with Mrs Churchill and Sgt. Mary Churchill, A.T.S. The pageant, organised by the Daily Express, ended with a march past of the United Nations."
