LOUGHRAN'S DEFEAT.
There were stormy scenes at the Albert Hall, London, last night when the referee, Mr Wilfred Smith, awarded a 10-round heavy-weight fight to Tommy Farr, a young and comparatively unknown Welshman, whose opponent was the famous American Tommy Loughran.
Protests were shouted from every corner of the hall. Loughran was loudly cheered when he left the ring, while Farr was booed. The uproar prevented any subsequent announcements, and continued even efter the next fight had started. Women joined in the protest..."
