A drawing by Augustus John was reproduced for the concert programme. The original drawing was dedicated to the children of Warsaw, and was given by the artist to the Polish Children Rescue Fund for sale at the price of £100. It was Captain Sliwinski, a Polish officer and an old friend of Augustus John, who suggested the artist should contribute to the Fund. Czech artist, Kokishka, also created an artwork for the Fund.
