Performance NotesBecause of a row caused by the Royal Albert Hall banning a Labour meeting in this day in the evening,, members of the Kensington branch of the Electrical Trades Union (ETU) cut off the electric light supply to the Hall at 10:00, saying that if the Hall tried to reinstate the electricty supply, the ETU would blackout the whole of Kensington. This concert therefore had to be lt by the Hall's original Victorian, secondary gas lighting system which lent the concert an eerie atmosphere.
