"GLASS STREN IN BOXING RING.
Immediately before one of the semi-finals at the police boxing championships at the Albert Hall last night, a man pushed his way to the ringside and threw handfuls of pins and broken glass into the centre. A scuffle followed, a man was escorted out, protesting vigorously.
Later Basil Duckworth Atkin, 48, a porter, Parker Street, Holborn, was charged at Chelsea police station with assault on the police."
