Performance NotesSuper Cabaret was devised by Hermione Ginguld, Valerie Hobson, Ivor Novello and Terence Rattigan.

Fancy dress was required but Service of Evening Dress was optional. Prizes were given for outstanding costume of the ball, best period costume, most original costume, and best home-made costume. Over 30 prizes were offered including a 'magnificent' piece of jewellery, a new motor car, and a fur coat.
