Performance NotesThe Care Trust, now known as CARE for Abortion is a UK pro-life, anti-abortion advocacy group.

Abortion rights activists held a protest outside the Hall during this meeting with placards reading 'Defend Abortion Rights' and 'Our Bodies, Our Lives, Our Right To Decide'. Some of the pro-abortion demonstrators also entered the Hall and disrupted proceedings by throwing smoke and flour bombs on to the stage, climbing on to the stage and heckling the speakers throughout. According to the Daily Telegraph (19 February 1990), "...Eight demonstrators among a noisy crowd of about 200 outside the hall were arrested and charged with public order and obstruction offences."
