Performance Notes'Mr Herbert Morrison said the issue was looking forward to a Britain of an expanding prosperity and a growing freedom, or back to a Britain of industrial serfdom, umemployment, and poverty. Londoners had to ask themselves whether they were to be the masters, or the slaves, of material things. If I know my London I know what the answer of our city of the blitz of V1 and V2 will be. It will be a full-throated demand for an expanding progress and freedom. Once more London is going to plump for Labour and social progress.'
