| Performance Notes | Teenage Cancer Trust patron and The Who front man, Roger Daltrey has been the driving force behind the concerts which have raised over £17 million for young people with cancer since they began in 2000 and these music and comedy shows are Teenage Cancer Trusts flagship event. The money raised makes a massive difference to the lives of thousands of young people with cancer across the UK by through life changing are and support. As the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting teenager and young adults with cancer, Teenage Cancer Trust relies on the support of the general public to fund a range of services that aim to improve their quality of life and chances of survival.
Scotland's biggest export in comedy today, Kevin Bridges, hosts a night of comedy for the Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall. Dubbed as brilliant by Billy Connolly, Kevin first made his debut at The Edinburgh Playhouse on BBC1s Michael McIntyres Comedy Roadshow in 2009. Overnight success followed with Kevin selling out his run at the Edinburgh Festival in just a day. His new tour for 2015, A Whole Different Story.., has already sold out 15 dates at the Glasgow Hydro.
Kevin will be joined by award-winning comedians Noel Fielding and Jon Richardson. Fielding, taking time out from his live show An Evening with Noel Fielding, has been a Teenage Cancer Trust ambassador since 2009. Richardson's appearance comes hot on the heels of his hugely successful live DVD, Nidiot.
Kevin Bridges joked that this was the poshest venue he had ever played: I never thought Id be welcoming people to the Albert Hall unless I had a high-visibility jacket on. |
