Performance Notes | This concert marked Eric Clapton's 200th performance at the Royal Albert Hall and his 173rd headline performance at the Royal Albert Hall.
Music icon Eric Clapton returns to the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate his 70th birthday. The shows will also mark 50 years since Clapton first played at the iconic London venue - his debut was on 7 December 1964 when he performed as part of the Yardbirds for BBC Two's Top Beat Show. To date, the legendary guitarist has played the Hall on 198 occasions, including 171 headlining performances. Eric will be accompanied by his band members Paul Carrack, Steve Gadd, Nathan East, Chris Stainton, Sharon White and Michelle John.
These milestone gigs were presented to fans around the world through the cinematic release of 'Eric Clapton: Live at the Royal Albert Hall' on 14 September 2015.
VIP Experience tickets were available for this concert for £288 per person, which included a pre-show reception in a VIP hospitality suite and a premium stalls seat.
The concert was recorded and released commerically on DVD as 'Eric Clapton - Slowhand at 70 Live at the Royal Albert Hall'. The recording was also broadcast on SkyArts at 21:00 on 23 January 2016.
