Laura and Manuel started performing together in 2006, as founding members of the Trio Opus 40. The trio had a very successful career in Spain, performing in various cities including Madrid (Auditorio Manuel de Falla), and also won the First Prize at III Sonidos del Arlanza Chamber Music Competition in 2007.
Formed in 2014 by Laura Balboa (violin) and Manuel López Jorge (piano), Quiroga Duo is a young up-and-coming group based in London. Its two members, students from the Royal College of Music and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, are both soloists with notable performing careers and are prize-winners at several competitions.
