Performance Notes | Steven Wilson will take over the Royal Albert Hall with two new shows this September, following the massive success of his 4th solo album Hand. Cannot. Erase. and his recent sold out UK tour.
The four-time Grammy nominee, multi-instrumentalist and producer has created an incredible body of work, from his four solo albums through to his origins as Porcupine Tree, and these new Hall shows will explore the breadth of his career for the first time, creating two entirely different shows across the two days.
Already his best selling album to date, Hand. Cannot. Erase mirrors the chillingly true story of a 38 year-old woman called Joyce Karol Vincent who died alone in a bedsit in Wood Green in 2003 and, through a perfect storm of tragic circumstances, remained undiscovered for over two years. Hand. Cannot. Erase. perfects a lyrical and melodic journey of living in the city in todays day and age.
The performance was accompanied by animations on a large screen behind the stage. |
