Orchestra or Band | OX3 (Zoë Reed Sanderson - keyboards, Reuben Reed Sanderson - bass, vocal, James Graham - drums) |
Performance Notes | Enjoy great food, drink and free live music in the Halls Italian restaurant, Verdi. Verdi offers casual dining and authentic flavours of Italy and is the perfect place to wind down, laugh and eat well with friends and family over a bottle of great Italian wine.
OX3 was formed in 2010. With its three classically-trained young musicians Zoë and Reuben Reed Sanderson (keyboard, and bass and vocals) and James Graham (drums), it explores a range of jazz genres from Joe Henderson to Rogers and Hammerstein, helped by Reubens skill at singing while playing fretless bass. The trio has been invited to play in venues such as the Jacqueline du Pre Room in Oxford and Birmingham Town Hall as part of the Music For Youth Festival. The band has received coaching from respected jazz musicians including Pete Oxley, Tim Dawes and Tim Lapthorn. All three musicians have benefitted from jazz and big band training with the county music service and other organisations such as NYJO, National Youth Jazz Collective and Ronnie Scotts youth big band. Having been described as outstandingly accomplished and tasteful in their style, OX3 plays every month in the Hand And Shears Pub in Church Hanborough, Oxfordshire, following the footsteps of Jamie Cullum!
This concert is run in partnership with Music for Youth as part of the Royal Albert Halls commitment to supporting the next generation of talented young musicians and giving them a platform to shine. |
