Performance NotesNoel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will return to the Hall for a one off pre-Christmas gig ahead of their 2016 UK arena tour.

The band’s show at the Hall coincides with the release of new single The Dying of the Light, taken from their award winning number one album Chasing Yesterday.

So far, 2015 has seen Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds complete a worldwide tour that included a sell out arena tour of the UK in March, along with headlining major summer festivals including T in the Park and Latitude, all to huge critical acclaim.

Noel was recently honoured with the reader-voted Q Award for Best Album, adding to his long list of accolades, including the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection in 2013, the NME Godlike Genius Award in 2012 and the Q Icon Award.

No under 5s. Childrenunder 14 must be accompanied by an adult. No under 14s in standing Arena.

Door opened at 18:45 and a DJ played until the start of the show 20:00.

Guests attending the event included David Beckham.

Noel Gallagher uniquely supported himself with a set of semi-acoustic Oasis songs. “You do realise the only reason we’re doing this is because we couldn’t find a support band?” Noel told the crowd, “Everybody’s too busy apparently." Gallagher and his High Flying Birds returned with a full choir to play their main set. “That’s a tough act to follow!” he joked.
