Performance Notes | Our intimate Late Night Jazz series presents sensational music in the sultry setting of the Royal Albert Halls Elgar Room.
Jazz at the Movies put a jazzy spin on the evocative songs and soundtrack themes from a silver screen sources both familiar and obscure. Their performance in the Elgar Room will launch their second album Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2016), focusing on material from movies made between 1946 and 1990.
Hear new material from the band including Sondheims Sooner Or Later from Dick Tracy (1990), the Arlen/Gershwin classic The Man Who Got Away from A Star Is Born (1954) and Mr Kiss Kiss Bang Bang the rejected John Barry/Leslie Bricusse theme from the fourth James Bond movie Thunderball (1965).
Regularly sold-out at Ronnie Scotts, Jazz at the Movies are fronted by acclaimed singer and vocal mentor to pop sensation Sam Smith, Joanna Eden, with Chris Ingham (piano), Mark Crooks (saxophone/clarinet), Rev. Andrew J. Brown (bass) and George Double (drums).
