| Performance Notes | The Dixie Ticklers present a special jazz session for children aged 4-9. Come and get down, shake about and blow the roof off to Dem Bones, Down By The Riverside, Ballin The Jack and other Dixie Ticklers classics. There will be plenty of time for the kids to come and get a look at the instruments close up and talk to the musicians about how the music is put together.
Led by clarinettist and composer Dom James, The Dixie Ticklers combine their deep love and understanding of early New Orleans jazz with a truly modern aesthetic and musical vision. The core players include drummer Daoud Merchant AKA Washboard Merch, percussionist Zands, trumpeter Will Rixon, bassist Tommy Antonio and guitarist Nicholas Costley-White.
Their unique and critically acclaimed album of swinging nursery rhymes, Parade, continues to enchant kids throughout the world.
