Performance Notes | To coincide with the release of his hugely-anticipated third album Grey Tickles, Black Pressure, acclaimed singer-songwriter John Grant will play a special one-off concert at the Royal Albert Hall following an extensive tour of the UK and Ireland earlier in the year.
Grey Tickles, Black Pressure, recorded in Dallas with producer John Congleton (St Vincent, Franz Ferdinand), refines and entwines the two principal strands of Grants musical DNA namely the sumptuous tempered ballad and the taut, fizzing electronic pop song.
John Grant appeared as a special guest at the Hall alongside Goldfrapp in October 2014, however this special concert will mark the American singer-songwriters debut performance at the venue.
The event was filmed as part of a BBC Storyville documentary. |
