Triple Champion, Cory Band, will deliver the end-of-contest concert, before the Awards Ceremony, at the Championship Section British National Final on 8 October, in London’s Royal Albert Hall.

As part of the day ticket, the band will perform an entertaining programme, which will include: Malambo (alberto Ginastera, arr. Phillip Littlemore), The Thieving Magpie Overture (Rossini, arr. Denis Wright), Live and Let Die (Paul McCartney, arr. Ray Farr); Cute (Neil Hefti, arr. Philip Sparke); Lullabye (Goodnight My Angel) (Billy Joel, arr. Philip Harper); and the main theme from Star Wars (John Williams, arr. Philip Harper).

The Awards Ceremony of the Royal Albert Hall Final will then feature the presentation of the 2016 Iles and Mortimer Medals by the Worshipful Company of Musicians respectively to leading brass band conductor, Russell Gray and youth band leader, Samantha Harrison. This is the first time that the medals are to be presented at the National Final.
