Performance Notes | British actress Gemma Arterton is well known for her stage and screen presence. Recent credits include the title role of Nell Gwynn at Londons Apollo Theatre, for which she gained a Best Actress nomination at this years Olivier Awards, and the hit West End version of the 2010 film Made In Dagenham at the Adelphi Theatre.
Gemmas film and television career is equally illustrious, with starring roles in Hollywood feature films including Clash of the Titans, Disneys Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Quantum of Solace, and her heartrending portrayal of the heroic Tess in the BBC adaptation of Tess of the DUrbervilles earned her rave reviews and numerous award nominations.
She is a patron of The Theatrical Guild, a charity supporting those who work backstage and front of house in theatres across the UK, and this is the first in a series of three fundraising in conversation events in the Halls Elgar Room marking the charitys 125th anniversary.
