Performance NotesJoin The Salvation Army in celebrating Christmas at the Royal Albert Hall.

A wonderful evening of music and entertainment, featuring the Salvation Army’s International Staff Band, International Staff Songsters and special celebrity guests including Shakin Stevens; along with traditional carols for all to sing.

Shakin' Stevens re-recorded his classic Christmas No.1 hit, 'Merry Christmas Everyone', in 2015. The new track was renamed 'Echoes of Merry Christmas Everyone', and all proceeds from the single were donated to the Salvation Army — a charity very close to Shaky's heart. Research into Shaky's family history has revealed that he has over 150 years' worth of Salvationist service amongst his ancestors, and he's immensely proud of this fact. As well as performing 'Echoes of Merry Christmas Everyone', at this event Shaky will also perform 'The Fire In Her Blood', a track from his new album, 'Echoes of Our Times'.

The event was broadcast live on BBC local radio.
