Orchestra or Band | Daj Dook (Matt Holborn, Kourosh Kanani, Jeremie Coullon, Eleazar Spreafico) |
Performance Notes | Spend a lazy weekend listening to music by exceptional musicians from the London jazz scene and renowned world music artists at a delicious Live Music Brunch.
Daj Dook is a band of friends dedicated to gypsy jazz (the merging of swing and gypsy music, started off by the legendary Belgian Manouche gypsy Django Reinhardt in the 1930s). With the many influences and experiences that have shaped each member, Daj Dook is a chance to hear this music move in a modern context.
Together and between them, the band jazz violinist Matt Holborn, guitarists Kourosh Kanani and Jeremie Coullon and bass player Eleazar Spreafico have played at Buckingham Palace, Festival Django Reinhart Samois Sur Seine and London jazz venues like Ronnie Scotts and Pizza Express Jazz Club. |
