Performance Notes | The award winning Ezra Collective are among the brightest shining stars exploding on the UK jazz scene, with their heady mix of afrobeat, jazz, reggae and hip hop.
Since they emerged onto the scene in May 2012, winning the Yamaha Jazz Experience Competition, Ezra Collective have gone on to play festivals and clubs up and down the UK. They also perform as hip-hop legend Pharoahe Monchs live band, further demonstrating their versatility in musicianship.
With influences from Sonny Rollins, Fela Kuti and Bob Marley running through the groups DNA, they continue to push the boundaries of live music, creating a unique blend of diverse genres, tied together by a love of jazz. |
