Performance Notes | Unpopular Music presents a multi-artist bill programmed and hosted by BBC Radio 3s Nick Luscombe and co-hosted by actor and supporter of the charity Toby Jones in support of Help Refugees, with a line-up consisting of trailblazing artists Grasscut and La Qualia (with Leo Abrahams on guitar) as well as Hejira, Roxanne Tataei and Belinda Zhawi. There will also be DJ sets from Nick Luscombe and Max Reinhardt.
This special evening of music takes inspiration from the Unpopular Music LP, which gathers a selection of unique recordings from an ongoing series of exciting and eclectic collaborations, mostly recorded at BBC Maida Vale Studios. They represent part of an incredible body of work by a wide variety of alternative, outsider musicians from all over the world.
