Performance Notes | Since 2000, over 225 bands and artists have played Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall, raising over £24 million. Those incredible shows have played a vital role in helping the charity to provide 28 specialist cancer units and over 60 nursing and support staff in NHS hospitals across the UK, making an incredible difference to young people diagnosed with cancer around the country. This year's run of shows will see the 100th performance as part of Teenage Cancert Trust at the Royal Albert Hall since 2000 - that performance being the first of The Who's two nights.
National treasure Paul Weller returns to the Hall for another show in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. The hugely influential singer-songwriter, who rose to international icon status during his time in The Jam, has won four Brit Awards, including the 2006 Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. Weller, described by the BBC as one of the most revered music writers and performers of the past 30 years, released his 12th studio album, Saturns Pattern, last year, reaching number two on the UK Albums Chart.
Support will come from Stereophonics frontman and long-time supporter of the Teenage Cancer Trust, Kelly Jones.
Luxury VIP Box Experience tickets were available for £2,800 (Loggia) and £1,400 (Second Tier), which included exclusive box hirem dedicated box waiter, beverages, canapes, and substantial donation to Teenage Cancer Trust. Rick and Roll Box Package tickets were available for £2,400 (Loggia) and £1,000 (Second Tier), which included provaye box hire, dedicated box waiter, beverages, sharing platter and ice cream, plus a substantial donation to Teenage Cancer Trust.
