Performance Notes | Due to incredible popular demand ABC have added a final show to their UK tour, at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. The band will perform their classic debut album Lexicon of Love in its entirety, as well as tracks from their new 2016 album Lexicon of Love II and their greatest hits, with orchestral accompaniment from the Southbank Sinfonia conducted by Anne Dudley.
Released in 1982, ABCs debut album The Lexicon of Love was one of the landmark records of the 80s, fusing the world of disco funk with the Sheffield bands own unique New Wave post-modern punk vision. 34 years and eight acclaimed studio albums later, The Lexicon Of Love II was released in 2016 and sees ABC kingpin Martin Fry work with various musical collaborators including Academy Award winning musician and composer Anne Dudley.
ABC last performed at the Hall in April 2009. |
