Performance Notes19 April 2017 sees this wonderful event return to the Hall, with musicians and comedians performing a night of music and laughter for Parkinson’s UK. Returning to the Symfunny stage and hosting this spectacular evening is stand-up comedian and star of the West End’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jason Manford.

We are thrilled to announce that joining Jason is legendary member of The Who, Pete Townshend, and Parkinson’s UK resident funny man Rob Deering. Jason, Pete and Rob join our already fantastic line up made up of multimillion selling and award-winning recording artist Katie Melua and the world’s most successful musical theatre group Collabro.

Bringing the funny alongside Jason and Rob will be, stars of BBC sitcom Josh – Josh Widdicombe and Jack Dee. Jack will be joined on stage by BBC Radio 4’s I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue team who said, “We are delighted to join the fight against Parkinson’s and play silly games in the magnificent setting of the Royal Albert Hall.”

In an event like no other all of our acts will be accompanied by the specially created Symfunny Orchestra and Choir, featuring some of the best professional musicians and voices in the UK.

Symfunny is the brainchild of producer, composer and conductor James Morgan, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at 42. He and his partner, fellow producer, composer and mezzo-soprano Juliette Pochin, are asking their celebrity friends to come together to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s UK in a fantastic event.
