Performance Notes | Watch inspirational performances by outstanding musicians from the Royal College of Music, whilst enjoying a hot drink and a pastry in the Royal Albert Halls Elgar Room. Vincent Ling started learning the piano at the age of seven. In 2013, he was accepted at the Royal College of Music Junior Department, where he currently studies with Nataa Lipovek.
As a successful participant in the Jacques Samuel Piano Festival, he has performed twice at Wigmore Hall. He has also played in the internationally broadcast festival Messiaens Muses, and has been twice selected by the Awards for Young Musicians for a Robert Lewin Scholarship.
More recently, Vincent has taken part in performing the Spectrum 5 series; a collection of pieces specially composed for young pianists by invited composers from all over the world. Vincent gave the concert premiere of Code by Graham Fitkin at the Spectrum 5 launch last November.
Now aged 17, Vincent hopes to continue his studies both at Junior and Senior levels with the aim of becoming a professional concert pianist. |
