Performance NotesOur intimate Late Night Jazz series presents sensational music in the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room.

Women and the Hall celebrates the women who were instrumental in the fight for women’s suffrage, and provides a platform for the women who are shaping our future, through a season of talks, film screenings and performances.

Yusufla is new jazz. Three saxes up front, anchored by bass and drums. The band’s original material spotlights their unusual front-line trio of saxophones exploring textural and rhythmic reverberations.

Influences are wide in range, from their namesake Yusef Lateef, to Indian sax maverick Kadri Gopalnath and beyond.
