| Performance Notes | Kate Simko and London Electronic Orchestra return to the Royal Albert Hall bringing their innovative, genre-bending performance to the Elgar Room, as part of our Women and the Hall season. Curated by Simko, the evening will feature very special guest performances by UK #1 recording artist Katy B, Italian DJ and producer Francesca Lombardo and vocalist Holly Walker of Maribou State.
This special performance will also feature video art and neon installations by British contemporary multidisciplinary artist Lauren Baker, visuals by LAubaine and a short satirical film by lauded British filmmaker Alicia MacDonald.
Women and the Hall celebrates the women who were instrumental in the fight for womens suffrage, and provides a platform for the women who are shaping our future, through a season of talks, film screenings and performances.
All proceeds went to the United Nations (UN) HeForShe campaign.
The event was filmed and audio-recorded by the artist for their archive use.
Neon and print art were displayed and a UN campaign and short film by Alicia MacDonald were played at the top of the show. |
