Performance Notes | A night of music and song to celebrate Her Majesty The Queens 92nd Birthday. A fun and vibrant evening of contemporary hits, songs from classic musicals, unique collaborations and stars from around the Commonwealth.
The event marked what is likely to be The Queen's final meeting with the heads of Commonwealth governments. The event was held at the end of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), which was held in London with a full programme of events hosted by the Queen. A pre-show reception by the Royal Commonwealth Society was hosted in the Elgat Room.
This show was filmed and broadcast live on BBC One television and BBC Radio 2. Highlights of the concert will be broadcast on BBC World Service English, giving listeners around the world the chance to hear the celebrations.
Ms Meghan Markle accompanied HRH Prince Henry (Harry) and was seated in the Royal Box as an engaged couple. Mr Jack Brooksbank accompanied HRH Princess Eugenie and was seated in the Royal Box as an engaged couple. HRH The Duchess of Cambridge was not in attendance due to the imminent birth of her third child, Prince Louis. HRH The Duke of Edinburgh was not in attendance, having retired from public appearances.
Members of the Royal Family were seated in the Royal Box and the Grand Tier boxes either side.
HRH Prince Henry spoke as the new President of The Queens Commonwealth Trust.
Approxiamately 16 heads of state and four foreign ministers from the Commonwealth were in attendance including PM Theresa May.

Her Majesty The Queen wore a silver and gold lame with ivory tweed, dipped waist dress, covered with buttermilk daisies, designed by Angela Kelly.
The event ended with a balloon drop.
