| Performance Notes | Calling all Space fans! As part of our Festival of Science: Space we invite families and children of all ages to come and explore the Royal Albert Halls intergalactic universe.
This free family event features a host of interactive activities spread throughout our historic building. Experience life on the International Space Station in virtual reality, learn to code with the Institute of Imagination, see a real life Mars Rover up close and much more.
Youll find a range of interactive, engaging and educational activities located across four space-zones around our historic building, at this free event supported by the UK Space Agency.
LUNAR LANDING ZONE
ARENA: LEVEL 0
Touch down in the Lunar Landing Zone in our iconic auditorium! Explore the solar system in a 360° planetarium. Please pre-book tickets at Door 6. Meet a real Mars Rover called Bruno, and see satellite thrusts that have been to space! Train to be an astronaut with Mission X and test your fitness with the Space to Earth Challenge. Colour in the Earth and see if you could become a space photographer with the National Centre for Earth Observation.
SPACE CAMP ZONE
ARENA BARS: LEVEL -1
Get set in the Space Camp Zone where youll learn a host of new skills! Design and invent space gadgets through coding. For ages 6+. Get creative with the Science Museums Spacelets workshops. For ages 7+. Hear stories from the far-flung corners of the solar system at our storytelling sessions. Build and launch your own rocket with experts from the National Space Centre.
DEEP SPACE ZONE
GALLERY: LEVEL 5
Leave the Earth and Moon behind, swing out past Mars, and stride into the outer reaches of our solar system. Shrinking Space present Minds Eye, an audio tour of the solar system as described by the scientists and space explorers who have taken part in real-life, active space missions. For ages 7+.
OUTER SPACE ZONES
Step into outer space and discover the Unlimited Space Agencys spectacular mobile Space Shed on the QEII Steps and insightful talks in the North Circle Bar.

How I Hacked My Way Into Space is a hilariously moving story of how even the smallest person can achieve their seemingly impossible dreams.
NORTH CIRCLE BAR: LEVEL 3
Learn about life as a scientist through talks with Mars Rover engineer, Abbie Hutty and Professor of Space Physics, Suzie Imber.
