Performance NotesJasmine Scott Neale is a young Composer/Artist and Cellist. Since graduating from Goldsmiths College in 2010 she has worked on an eclectic range of projects largely in the pop world from folk, jazz, experimental electronics to free improvisation. As a cellist, Jasmine has performed live on stage and in the studio (string arranging/session cellist) for artists including, Eska, Johnny Hates Jazz, The Neil Cowley Trio, Arun Ghosh, Crewdson, Samuel Dechamp (La Shark) and Hattie Briggs at venues including Royal festival Hall, The Barbican, The Roundhouse, Glastonbury Festival, Tate Britain, O2-Brooklyn Bowl, Ronnie Scott’s, Scala London, Secret Garden Party Festival, and has performed live on T.V. and radio including BBC Radio 2 and BBC6 Music for Tom Robinson.

Her passion for writing music has seen her involved in many co-writes across numerous genres, however, Jasmines solo compositions have a cinematic feel with a pop sensibility being heavily influenced by music written for film and equally the popular music world she is immersed in, ranging from Max Richter, Yann Tersen, Hans Zimmer to Goldfrapp and Bjork.

Her latest solo project, Jasmine’s debut album ‘The Space Between Our Words’ is a series of pieces composed for her ballerina identical twin sister Sarai. Mixing warm textural string arrangements with cinematic lyrical themes, simmering grooves and raw electronics due for release in December 2018.
