Performance NotesSoulful jazz artist Niji Adeleye joins us for a special Late Night Jazz session as part of our Unstoppable Voices season.

Niji’s music mixes soulful brass melodies with deep piano-led harmonies. Jazz and gospel roots undergird his compositional style, while his influences span across a variety of genres including RnB, hip hop and UK grime.

In 2017, Niji released his second album Late Nights Early Mornings (LNEM) in April 2017. A deeply rich harmonic sound, LNEM paints a picture of prevailing social tensions, fighting through barriers and unfolding the journey of the creative millennial actualising his dream.

This performance in the Hall’s Elgar Room is one of a number of Unstoppable Voices shows compiled by composer and drummer Moses Boyd, one of the season’s guest curators.
