Performance NotesAlto-saxophonist and percussionist Kevin Haynes joins us for a special Late Night Jazz session as part of our Unstoppable Voices season. Joining us for this special Late Night Jazz session will be alto-saxophonist and percussionist Kevin Haynes.

Kevin’s music is a fusion of contemporary jazz, blending together Afro-Cuban and native Nigerian Yoruba Bata drumming styles, with Mandiga-folk songs and flowing Kora lines. The result is a unique sound deeply rooted in African-jazz.

This performance in the Hall’s Elgar Room is one of a number of Unstoppable Voices shows compiled by composer and drummer Moses Boyd, one of the season’s guest curators.
