Performance NotesTo celebrate 150 years of the Periodic Table of elements in 2019, the Science Museum, V&A, Imperial College London, Royal College of Art, Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851, Royal Society of Chemistry and the Royal Albert Hall are holding a festival of chemistry in South Kensington.

Join us for a programme of words and music with Tim Lihoreau, Dame Mary Archer and students from the Royal College of Music exploring the Common Thread between the Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev, the first modern form of the Periodic Table of the Chemical Elements and celebrated composers Borodin and Elgar – fittingly taking place in our Elgar Room.

The Alkyona Quartet features violinists Emma Purslow and Charlotte Saluste-Bridoux, cellist Jobine Siekman and Henrietta Hill on viola.
