Performance Notes | RAH have programmed three acts for the GERF main stage ('Expression Stage') on Saturday, June 29th. This is an utdoor stage on Exhibition Road, open to all and free to attend. Continental Drifts are the production company stage managing the event(s). The timings for the stage are 11 am until 5 pm, with five performances of roughly 50 minutes each. The Royal College of Music have programmed two brass bands for two of these slots; the artists programmed by RAH are opening and closing the stage with one act playing the middle slot.
The 8 piece Tomorrows Warriors Female Frontline developed out of the award-winning Tomorrows Warriors Artist Development Programme based at Southbank Centre. Led by saxophonist Aleksandra Topczewska under the tutelage of Gary Crosby OBE, theyve gained a reputation for playing upbeat jazz standards, with contemporary arrangements of well-known classics. Last year they performed at Love Supreme Festival, Field Day and Ealing Jazz Festival, as well as supporting Monty Alexander at Cadogan Hall in the London Jazz Festival at Jazz Jamaica at the Jazz Cafe. Tomorrow's Warriors is a leading talent development agency, creative producer, music educator and consultancy specialising in jazz. They've proved a crucial development platform for many of the artists being celebrated on the international jazz scene. |
