Orchestra or Band | Levitation Orchestra, Where Pathways Meet |
Performance Notes | RAH have programmed three acts for the GERF main stage ('Expression Stage') on Saturday, June 29th. This is an utdoor stage on Exhibition Road, open to all and free to attend. Continental Drifts are the production company stage managing the event(s). The timings for the stage are 11 am until 5 pm, with five performances of roughly 50 minutes each. The Royal College of Music have programmed two brass bands for two of these slots; the artists programmed by RAH are opening and closing the stage with one act playing the middle slot.
Levitation Orchestra create music collectively, in the spirit of communal ownership and boundless experimentalism. Today, they present a suite of music created upon the theme of Illusions and Realities. They will be joined by members of Where Pathways Meet. These dimension steppers are well known in London for their trance inducing performances. One recent review states; "the group channels a cosmic energy that plays with the pulsating tension gifted by the power of complete freedom. The meeting of the two ensembles will be mighty. Expect glorious melodies, set against deep grooves, surrounded by sumptuous soundscapes. |
