Period-performance specialist Richard Egarr conducts the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Chorus in the devastating story of the warrior Jephtha commanded by God to sacrifice his daughter Iphis. Tenor Allan Clayton is the conflicted Jephtha, with Trinidadian soprano Jeanine De Bique as Iphis. |
