Performance NotesThis years’ Festival of Remembrance had the theme 'Remember Together' and will be marking 75th anniversaries of the great battles of 1944 and the collaboration and friendship of the British, Commonwealth and Allied armies who fought them. We will also be marking the 100 anniversary of GCHQ and the role of the secret services whose courage and work is so often unknown. We will remember the men and women from so many different nations, cultures, religions and communities who came together and stood shoulder to shoulder to defend our freedom and way of life.

The annual Festival of Remembrance has been held since 1923 to commemorate all those who have lost their lives in conflicts.

The ceremony was also attended by the Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his then partner Carrie Symonds, and Shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry MP.

The event would be the final visit to the Royal Albert Hall by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
