Cisco Youth Leadership Award
Performance NotesThis December, Global Citizen will be celebrating the world’s top activists at the Global Citizen Prize — a ceremony to honour the individuals who have dedicated their lives to tackling extreme poverty. To attend, enter the prize draw by voting for your favourite Cisco Youth Leadership Award finalist.

Taking place at the Royal Albert Hall, the show will be hosted by John Legend and feature special musical collaborations from some of the world’s leading artists. It will also broadcast in the UK and the US later in December. The artists performing at the inaugural Global Citizen Prize ceremony include Jennifer Hudson, host John Legend, Raphael Saadiq, Sting, Stormzy, and special guests Chris Martin and H.E.R.

As well as musical performances and calls-to-action for Global Citizens everywhere, the program will feature powerful, inspirational stories of people taking action to positively impact their communities — to serve as a reminder that every one of us is capable of achieving great things.

Nigerian politiciam and UN Deputy Secretary General, Amina Mohammed's speech, broadcast internationally, called for people to take action to positively impact their communities.

The awards were broadcast on MTV UK on 27 December 2019.
