| Performance Notes | Classical music superstar Katherine Jenkins filmed a magical and unique Christmas Spectacular at the Hall, bringing joy and festive celebrations to audiences around the world for Christmas 2020. With unprecedented and exclusive access to the historic venue, the Welsh singing sensation performed seasonal favourites and carols with nostalgic Hollywood musical glamour, along with musical friends, to createan unfogettable and enchanting experience.
Fiming took place over two days (2-3 October 2020) and, due to COVID-19 restrictions and the closure of the Royal Albert Hall, was filmed behind closed doors with no audience. Some of the event was filmed on the steps of the Albert Memorial opposite the Hall in Kensington Gardens.
The recording was released online for download, on DVD, various digital platforms, cinemas throughout the UK and Ireland, and was broadcast on television by ITV on 24 December 2020 at 14:15. |
