| Performance Notes | The much-loved festive, annual tradition of Guy Barkers Big Band Christmas returned in 2020 for its 5th year. This swinging, soulful celebration of big band music with a Christmas twist saw Guy Barkers inimitable mixture of jazz classics, unearthed treasures and Christmas odditie.
Jazz singer and BBC Radio 2 presenter Clare Teal co-presented the evening, performing alongside a range of very special guests including Strictly Come Dancing lead singer Tommy Blaize, jazz/funk singer Vanessa Haynes, clarinettist Adrian Cox, young jazz original Giacomo Smith and acclaimed jazz musician Joe Stilgoe. With Barkers musical mastery and special guests raising the roof, Guy Barkers Big Band Christmas can convert even the grumpiest bah humbugs to the joy of Christmas.
